Abstract
A new digital age, replete with intelligent wireless sensor nodes, will be fully realised once 5G is deployed in the smart cities of the future. NGs are a promising contender for the creation of both clever and proactive identity and wireless sensor nodes because to their low-cost, simple structure, versatility, ease of manufacture, high signal-to-noise ratio, and several operating modes with broad application. In this age of digitization, climate change has emerged as a major international concern. Future smart cities will be able to significantly contribute to global climate mitigation, global climate change, and decarburization via the employment of NG in the form of a gigantic energy collecting system, particularly blue electricity and wind energy. In the next 30 years, three megatrends are projected to emerge: vast urbanization via fully smart gadgets, ego bioelectronics for individualized health, and comprehensive investigation of renewable energy sources to mitigate environmental change and energy crises.
