Identifikasi Penyebaran Durian Lokal Manonto di Kabupaten Luwu Utara

Abstract

Durian manonto meskipun berbuah kecil tetapi memiliki keunggulan dari segi rasa, warna dan ketebalan daging buah yang tidak kalah saing dengan varietas durian unggul lainnya. Informasi tentang budidaya tanaman durian manonto masih kurang dan  terbatas di masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah identifikasi penyebaran lokasi tumbuh, umur dan jumlah populasi durian manonto khususnya di Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Data karakter morfologi diperoleh melalui survey dan pengamatan langsung di lokasi penelitian untuk mengetahui gambaran atau penjelasan tentang kondisi morfologi pertanaman durian manonto, di tiga tempat lokasi penelitian yaitu Kec. Masamba, Kec. Sabbang Selatan dan Kec. Sabbang.  Kec. Sabbang memiliki durian lokal manonto dengan jumlah populasi terbanyak 44,4 %,  Kec. Sabbang memiliki umur tanaman tertua 80 tahun, Kec. Sabbang memiliki tempat tanaman tertinggi 29 m, Kec. Masambba memiliki lingkar batang yang terbessar 3,43 cm, Kec. Sabbang Selatan dan Kec. Sabbang memiliki umur produksi tercepat dengan umur 10 tahun. Manonto local durian, although it bears small fruit, has advantages in terms of taste, color and thickness of the fruit flesh that are not less competitive with other superior durian varieties. Information about the local durian plant cultivation manonto is still lacking and limited in the community. The purpose of this research is to identify the distribution of growing locations, ages and population numbers of local manonto durians, especially in North Luwu Regency. Morphological character data were obtained through surveys and direct observations at the research site to obtain an overview or explanation of the morphological conditions of local manonto durian plantations, in three research locations, namely Sabbang District, South Sabbang District and Masamba District. Sabbang District has the largest population of 44.4%, Sabbang District has the oldest plant age of 80 years, Sabbang District has the highest plant area of ​​29 m, Masamba District has the largest stem circumference of 3.43 cm, Sabbang District and South Sabbang District has a production age the fastest with the age of 10 years.
