The proposed antenna has been designed by etching H-shaped slot radiators on Fr-4 substrate having dielectric constant 4.1 and a defected ground plane. The dimension of the proposed antenna is 15mm × 15mm. It resonates at 2.4 GHz, 3.6GHz and 5.2GHz frequencies with a return loss of −16dB, −19dB and −19 dB respectively. These frequency bands are assigned for WLAN and WiMax. CST Microwave Studio software has been used to design and simulate the proposed antenna. The proposed antenna consists of H-shaped slot radiator and defected ground plane.
