Construction of a Corporative Information System for an electric power company

Abstract

The Corporative Information System SICORP (from its Spanish name, Sistema de Información Corporativa) of Mexico's Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), is presented here. SICORP is a very large and important system because the electric power company CFE presently dominates all the electric energy market in Mexico. This paper describes how the Digital Dashboards, which present information in an ideal way for consulting by company directors, are implemented by taking the data from CFE's distinct legacy systems that handle the operating details.
