Abstract

This paper describes an off grid wind-battery microgrid (MG) system. In order to study the system sizing, an iterative approach is used. It is based on a recursive algorithm and a robust energy management. Indeed, the Deficiency of Power Supply Probability (DPSP), the Relative Excess Power Generated (REPG), the Energy Cost (EC) and the Total Net Present Cost (TNPC) are used to ensure an improved reliability and a minimum cost. As data information, this approach used the wind speed. The obtained results, checked carrying out Matlab simulations, confirm the effectiveness of this approach in sizing problem.
