Abstract

This paper presents coordinated design of PSS and TCSC dynamics model for electric power systems oscillations damping. A simplified fundamental frequency model of TCSC is proposed and the model results are verified, initially. This paper presents an analytical dynamic model for TCSC to demonstrate how it consistently behaves in the large power system networks and efficiently stabilizes its oscillations in the case of a disturbance.
