In this paper, the authors will mainly look at five aspects of human-computer interaction (HCI), The first part introduces the development history and early research of HCI since the birth of the personal computer. Secondly, the applications of HCI in medical treatment is listed, which includes medical devices and psychotherapy through emotional analysis platforms and gameplay. Furthermore, the paper will demonstrate how HCI plays a more and more important role in video games with three parts: equipment, sound effect and visual effect. Then we will discuss the revolutionary changes HCI has brought to the virtual reality industry.
