Abstract

The amplitude and phase characteristics of the electric field at a finite distance from the linear and planar antenna arrays with a small number of radiators in their near field observation are theoretically investigated. It is shown that in the case of the antenna arrays lowest possible sizes of 2×1 and 2×2 radiators the field amplitude decreases uniformly with increasing longitudinal and transverse coordinates of observation points.
