Abstract

This review gives the current state and development perspective of satellite paging on the basis of exploitation of satellite systems. SPS Iridium shows the technology of collection of messages from senders and principle of transferring them to satellite pagers. This is the first experience of creating nodes of collection of paging messages from senders by using the Internet through OOO "Page-Link Technology" as the first service-provider of the satellite paging system IRIDIUM. We give brief characteristics and possibilities of satellite pagers.
