Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation of an IoT smart power socket. Its main function is to provide services such as remote control, electrical protection, task automations and monitoring through mobile applications using cloud services. In addition, this IoT smart power socket is supported by advanced software tools for time scheduling, grouping power sockets and their operation managements, and analyzing power usage for electric cost optimization.
