Abstract

A horizontal polarized, tri-band antenna for RF energy harvesting applications is presented. A simple meander inverted-F antenna (MIFA) with size of 34mm×17mm×8mm is proposed in this paper. The radiating patch is folded at one end and etched with three slits to create multiple resonant frequency bands. The antenna covers following frequency bands: Global System for Mobile communication (GSM900MHz, 880-960 MHz)/Digital Communication System (DCS1800MHz, 1710-1880 MHz)/WiFi (2450MHz, 2400-2480 MHz).The proposed antenna has been designed and analyzed by using High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS).
