Ultrafast all-optical phase switch based on a CdO/Si waveguide

Abstract

An ultra-fast 6-µm-long all-optical phase switch based on a CdO/Si waveguide is proposed with a switching time of 100 fs, switching energy of 1 pJ, and insertion losses around 3 dB.
