Integrating lean and six sigma for the securement of the medication circuit

Abstract

Lean and Six Sigma are approaches that have the same motivation: Processes improvement and customer satisfaction. Both were used separately in the healthcare sector, but rarely together. This paper intends to integrate the two approaches in order to reach the highest level of patient safety.
