Abstract

A power system's generation, transmission, and distribution components all require some form of optimization to ensure efficiency, quality, safety, and stability. One of the critical issues in designing and managing an electric power generation system is the efficient scheduling of all power generation facilities to satisfy the increasing demand for electricity.
