Abstract

The transmission T of 2D photonic crystal (PC) microcavity with square and triangular lattice has been calculated by multiple-scattering computation method. The relationship between transmission T and normalized frequency has been investigated by curve fitting. It is found that the calculated transmission curve fits the Lorentz function very well, which simplify the calculation of T and better understanding the propagation behavior of electromagnetic wave in the microcavity.
