Abstract

—Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR) is a critical component in autonomous vehicles that aid in object detection. It generates point clouds by projecting light rays to its surround- ings. This demo studies the effect of paint colors on autonomous driving perception. The experiment results show different colors do affect LiDAR sensor’s point cloud intensity.
