The studies were made via simulation, using for the plant an aircraft dynamic model similar to the Bl bomber. This model is of a large aircraft with a reasonable amount of structural flexibility. In particular, flight configurations were analyzed where the influence of the flexible modes make it difficult to control the aircraft. Abstract

This paper presents the application of a model reference adaptive control (MRAC) algorithm to flexible aircraft flight control.
