Abstract
In recent years, there are home evacuees in Japan who remain in their homes at the time of a disaster. The physical distance between home evacuees and supporters makes it difficult for various types of support to reach them. Therefore, we focused on perinatal care. We have also studied and proposed the development of an information system to support nurses who provide medical care to home evacuees in the event of a large-scale disaster. In this study, we examined and organized further requirements for the development of our system. As a result, the types of information to be shared between nurses in the disaster area and remote supporters were identified. In addition, simulations of communication conditions using Digital Convenience Radio (DCR) showed its practicality in the event of a major disaster in which public communication lines do not function. In the future, we would like to create an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) device to build the system we are aiming for. We would then like to conduct demonstration tests and evaluation. The progress of this research suggests that it can contribute not only to the development and quality improvement of disaster medical care systems, but also to home medical care in peacetime.
