This requires solving the problem of improving the efficiency of maintenance of the electrotechnical complex of outgoing lines by introducing means for diagnosing damage to its elements (switching to maintenance according to the technical condition of the facility). The criterion for the effectiveness of maintenance can be the value of the availability coefficient of the electrotechnical complex. The time dependences of the availability coefficient and the probabilities of detecting the electrotechnical complex of the outgoing lines in each of the considered states are obtained, which will make it possible to make decisions on technical activities aimed at preventing material losses during operation overhead power transmission lines with electrical loading. There is including decisions related to monitoring risk dynamics, the modernization of electrical equipment, the use of surge protection.
