Abstract
Dominance-based rough set approach is an improvement of classical rough set approach because it is mainly based on substitution of the indiscernibility relation by a dominance relation. In this paper, we mainly pay our attention on the dominance-based rough set approach to the inconsistent interval-valued decision system. By using the concept of knowledge reduction in terms of the quality of approximation of partition, we propose an algorithm to compute the reduct of the inconsistent interval-valued decision system, from which we can obtain the simplified decision rules from such system. Some numerical examples are employed to substantiate the conceptual arguments.
