Based on the analysis of regulations, the legal status and scope of competence of the National Bureau for Investigation of Aviation Events have been determined, as well as the prospects for further research in this area and ways to improve the legal regulation of aviation accident investigation have been outlined. Abstract

The authors explored the characteristics of current trends in the domestic legal support development for the aviation accidents investigation by conducting a comparative analysis of national and international legislation on the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents.
