Brazilian Law No. 12,996 / 2013 establishes in its article that basic education curricula \"should have a common national basis, to be complemented by a diversified part in each school system and in each educational establishment, which is required by the regional and local characteristics of society, culture, economy and learners \". Taking this aspect as a starting point, it was proposed to research about the Mandim's Festival, a cultural manifestation of the city of Sena Madureira, in the State of Acre, considered one of the main festive events of the city The objective of the main work is the elaboration of a fascicle, produced from the results obtained in this investigation to subsidize the work of teachers in High Schools of the city in question. The research, with qualitative approach, was carried out in Sena Madureira, with the participation of fishermen, local residents, teachers, students, artists and political authorities of the city. Participant observation, semi-structured interviews and open questionnaires were used as research instruments, as well as a focus group consisting of a type of interview with more specific characteristics and format. Abstract

Curricular issues are increasingly challenging the school, given the need for permanently inserting, deleting and reviewing new content in their curricula.
