Abstract

One of the most challenging problems in computer aided design is narrow-band filter synthesis. Due to high Q-factor the optimization process is usually very slowly convergent and non-reliable. The paper presents the application of a new synthesis tool for microwave devices in the design of H-plane waveguide filters. The global concurrent multi-objective trust region mini-max optimization algorithm with constraints is capable of optimizing a dozen or more variables. The program is optimized for specific economical hardware.
