Abstract

The roaming interconnection architecture of 5G inter-networks has a direct impact on deployment difficulty and business service quality. The research proposed three interconnection architectures for 5G inter-network roaming, including national-level SEPP deployment, national-level 5GC center deployment, and regional/provincial SEPP deployment. The three architectures are compared and analyzed in terms of service discovery, registration, PDU session establishment, network impact, and construction cost. Suggestions for application scenarios of various architectures will be presented, serving as a reference for the deployment of 5G inter-network roaming.
