The question of crisis in the life and work of Jelena Berberovic

Abstract

This paper analyses the question od crisis in the life and work of the philosopher Jelena Berberovic. To that end, we have divided the paper in three segments. The first part of the paper presents the biographical elements which shed light on the crisis in the very life of our eminent philosopher. The central part of the paper discusses the way in which Jelena Berberovic thematizes the problem of crisis in her writings. The author speaks about the crisis in three senses. Namely, she talks about the crisis of philosophy, the world crisis, and the crisis of consciousness. Next, we develop the argumentation concerning the interpretive position from which the philosopher argues about the problem of crisis. The last segment of this paper states the manner in which the author presents moments of crisis in the lives of certain committed thinkers. The object of this contribution is to present the life of a renowned professor Jelena Berberovic in a time of crisis, as well as to state her standpoints in life and philosophy concerning the experience and problem of crisis.
