Abstract
Ultrasonic ranging system has been used in many applications. In order to realize precisely positioning motion objects, ultrasonic sensors are adopted to measure their motions, and then their 2D coordinates should be positioned. This will lead to complicated calculations and then yield to measurement errors with improperly designed programs. This study addresses a method to realize automatically tracking motion objects. Two ultrasonic sensors are selected and separately assembled on a small turntable by the same distance to the origin along the coordinate axis X and Y directions. By designing tracking algorithms, the turntable can be controlled to locate the motion object, with which complicated equation problems can be solved. With a well-designed control instruction sequences, it is able to precisely control timing period and effectively reduce measure error caused by irregular delay from traditional commands. Experiments show that these programs and methods are well deployed in parameters collection and status control system for motion objects.
