Abstract
There are a great number of converters used for increasing the voltage of a low-voltage primary source. In the paper, step-up converters with galvanic isolation between input and output are compared by the efficiency factor as well as by the type of load and transient characteristics to select the most rational scheme. To ensure an adequate comparison, the parameters of the converter power sections are calculated for the same initial data. The paper provides the results of simulation modeling of static and dynamic modes of the converters in the Simulink Matlab environment. It has been concluded that the converter with closed input and free energy exchange between internal circuits and power supply may have some advantages. For the selected converter, the model in the form of transfer function by load voltage is obtained.
