La potestad apostólica in temporalibus en las bulas ultramarinas portuguesas y castellanas

Abstract

The present essay studies the support that the Papacy give in the temporal ambit to Portugal and Castile in their expansion in Africa and Indies during the XV century. The scopes addressed here are various: the acquisition of discovered lands and the yet to discover, to exclude of the navigations to other Christian princes, to keep the peace among them and, finally, a few exceptions are presented.
