Abstract

TDD-LTE (time-division duplex long-term evolution) is more suitable for passive radar illuminator. The available waveforms for passive radar are selected among the characteristic signal of the TDD-LTE system, and then studied. The self-ambiguity function and cross-ambiguity function of CellRS (Cell-specific reference signal), PSS (primary synchronization signal), and SSS (secondary synchronization signal) in TDDLTE resource grid, are analyzed and simulated. Lastly, some performance metrics such as range resolution, doppler resolution, sidelobe peak ratio and the main lobe width, are calculated.
