Perilaku Masyarakat dalam Menggunakan Jamban Bersih Dan Sehat di Dusun Banglandek, Desa Gunung Kesan, Kecamatan Karang Penang

Abstract

One of the healthy behaviors can be realized by removing human waste (feces) / defecate in a healthy way or in place, such as a toilet. Early data collection in Banglandek Hamlet, Gunung Kesan Village, Karang Penang Subdistrictshows that in 15 families there were 10 families who had a habit when defecating in the river. The problem of the lack of use of latrines is influenced by the lack of environmental health behavior in the community. This study aims to describe the behavior of the community in using clean and healthy latrines in Banglandek Hamlet, Gunung Kesan Village, Karang Penang Subdistrict. This study used a descriptive research method. The population in this study was all family leaders in Banglandek Village. There were 87 respondents in this study. Data collection using a questionnaire. The research was conducted in Banglandek Hamlet, Gunung Kesan Village, Karang Penang Subdistrict in December 2018. The results showed that the community behavior of Banglandek Hamlet, Gunung Kesan Village, Karang Penang Subdistrict in using clean and healthy latrines of 87 respondents was (59%) or 51 respondents behaved negatively, while almost half (41%) or 36 respondents behaved positively .To increase ownership, use and use of clean and healthy toilets in the Benglandek Hamlet, Gunung Kesan Village, Karang Penang Subdistrict, motivation and guidance are needed.
