Abstract

The performance measurement for Web-based e-commerce has its importance increased with the gradual maturing of the digital market. Considering that e-retail companies do not attract investments as when they where first presented to the market, the need for an accurate control of their performance and profitability emerges. This paper's main objective is to determine directives to delimit the most relevant principium in the adoption of the performance measurement for Web-based e-commerce, that would contribute to a better understanding of the importance and challenges involved in the definition and use of the Web-based e-commerce performance indicators.
