Abstract
The study aims to improve elderly health from a perspective of social capital and promote a healthy aging strategy. Based on the data of the elderly in Chinese General Social Survey (CGSS 2015), this study constructed the comprehensive health evaluation index, and used the correlation test, path analysis and nested multiple regression analysis to explore the impact of social capital on elderly health. The main conclusions are as follows: the functional social capital and structural social capital have significant positive effects on elderly health, and the accessibility of public services plays a partial mediating role between functional social capital and elderly health. According to the results, some applicable countermeasures are proposed in the hope of promoting elderly health.
