Abstract
Bio impedance analysis is a commonly used method for detecting various body diseases. Vascular diseases are the disorders infect the blood vessels (arteries and veins), e.g. stenosis, occlusion, aneurysms, clots, hypertension, embolism, etc. The weakness in vessel wall causes the wall to be swollen, forming the aneurysm. Small aneurysms are not dangerous but at their severe phase, some may rupture, leading to internal bleeding. This paper presents proposed method for detecting the aneurysms in blood vessel by using noninvasive bioimpedance analysis. In this paper, mathematical models and finite element model are presented to describe the aneurysm and its effect on vessel impedance. The simulation results clarify the ability of bioimpedance analysis in detecting the aneurysms with different kinds and sizes. Moreover, the mathematical models are succeeding in describing different cases of vessel aneurysm.
