Abstract

This paper presents a performance evaluation procedure for an inductive wireless power transfer (WPT) system with a parallel-parallel compensation network. The effect of the WPT system design parameters on its efficiency is investigated. The WPT system is modeled using a 3D electromagnetic field technique coupled with circuit simulation. The 3D finite element (3DFE) model is created and a MATLAB-FEA automated routine configures the model parameters. Moreover, the paper proposes a mathematical model for efficiency assessment purposes.
