Low-cost system for recognizing people through infrared arrays in smart home systems

Abstract

The work is focused on the implementation of infrared sensors to the functionality of a smart home system. The requirements for this type of systems are considered, what are the disadvantages of previous solutions related to remote object recognition by measuring the temperature in the home environment. Experiments have been performed with various methods to minimize measurement errors. The reading of the temperature information in different situations is described.
