Abstract

A comparison between the Peak Current Mode Control and an improved implementation of the One-Cycle Control is presented in this paper. The whole design was implemented using behavioral models. A common power stage was developed to compare the performances of the two control modes, while the controllers were designed for the same crossover frequency using a second order compensator. The performances were assessed by performing frequency and transient simulations in both continuous (CCM) and discontinuous (DCM) conduction modes.
