Abstract

Recently, there has been increasing interest in real-time processing of time varying point clouds (TVPCs) ideally suited for real time applications such as immersive tele-presence systems and gaming. Although the resolution and accuracy of the modern 3D scanners are constantly improving, the captured 3D point clouds are usually highly incomplete, stressing the need of completion approaches with low computational requirements. In this paper, we introduce a novel regularized Laplacian interpolation approach for a fast and effective consolidation of a TVPC.
