Abstract
The scattering from rough sea surface illuminated by electromagnetic (EM) vortex wave carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) is studied in this paper. The special phase characteristic may be helpful to extract more information of the sea surface. As the electric size of the rough sea surface is huge, the simulation method such as the method of moments (MOM) or finite difference time domain method (FDTD) can hardly handle this problem, then the physical optics (PO) method is introduced. Simulation results indicate that the scattering field of different mode are quietly different which provides an new idea for the detection of sea surface in OAM domain.
