Synthesizer is a critical module in DWR system which is functional in multiple bands. The paper discusses about configurable synthesizer module which can work in S-band and L-Band with change in footprint compatible filters and software up-gradation. The module can be reconfigured and re-used for S-Band, C–Band and X-Band application. Along with adaptability, it should meet ultra-low phase noise requirements as well, which dictates performance of Radar to detect slow moving targets. The developed synthesizer module meets the system requirement of spurious suppression, phase noise and power requirement. Frequency controls, command and status exchanged over the high speed Ethernet protocol.
