Abstract
The behavioral study of underwater acoustic wave propagation in shallow bound water is well established to examine various physical properties. In particular, changes occurring in shallow underwater tank as physical medium. In underwater the radio and optical waves cannot broadcast over longer distances, acoustic waves are used for the study. To analyze the performance of acoustic waves, and hence is characterized by various physical parameters. The acoustic channel is affected by transmission loss, multipath propagation and time varying characteristics. Earlier studies proposed various models to understand various phenomenons undergoing in underwater acoustic sensor network. In this article, model is proposed for attenuation losses occurring in environment of raw water, concentrated with certain amount of sodium chloride such water is typical in urban and rural applications. The proportional relationship exists between attenuation and frequency under constant hydrostatic pressure and change in depth till 1000 meters.
