Abstract
A patch-fed wideband dual-polarized Terahertz (THz) horn antenna is presented in this paper. By stacking etched quartz substrates to form a stepped cavity, an air-filled horn is realized. A dual-polarized broadband patch feed coupled with H-shaped slots is used to excite the horn. According to our simulation results, the proposed antenna could achieve −10dB-level fractional impedance bandwidth of around 19.5% and reach a peak gain of 13.2 dBi from 182 to 222 GHz. The antenna realizes a port isolation more than 25dB as well as broadband polarization isolation of more than 23dB.
