Measurements show a harmonic resonance at the frequency of 350 Hz. Moreover, this resonance is caused by the interaction of 6.3 kV shunt capacitors and the grid. In order to mitigate the resonance phenomenon, the whole electrical grid of the GEG Company is simulated in DIgSILENT PowerFactory software in details. A practical solution to eliminate the harmonic resonance is proposed.
