Abstract

Reduction of negative consequences of large scale system emergencies with cascading development together with massive loss of supply of consumers and fast system restoration are possible by using distributed generation. Actual problem in this case is to keep the transient stability of distributed generation units because of rather small inertia parameters of such small installations, especially gas turbine units, by the emergencies. The importance of this problem is higher for operation control of smart grid.
