Abstract
Some manufacturing industries primarily focus on economic growth rather than their social and environmental consequences. Manufactures require the role of employees in developing Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Environment (OCB-E). One of the antecedents of OCB-E in the manufacturing industry is Environmental Transformational Leadership (ETL). This study aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of ETL perception on OCB-E among manufacturing industry employees in South Sulawesi. This study employed a quantitative method with a non-experimental research design by testing the correlation between variables. Measurements were administered using the ETL scale (Robertson, 2017) and OCB-E scale (Boiral & Paillé, 2012). The results of hypothesis testing (simple linear regression) showed an effect of ETL on OCB-E in manufacturing industry employees in South Sulawesi with R 2 = 0.29 and p < .001. Thus, leaders with ETL traits have an important role in voluntary pro-environmental behavior (OCB-E).
