The antenna is formed by a monolithic cross-shaped dielectric block with a rectangle part for support and two pairs of orthogonal metal strips printed on the bottom of the cross dielectric. In the antenna design, the dielectric plays a role as a magnetic dipole (MD) while the metal strips are equivalent to an electric dipole (ED). For demonstration, a dual-polarized prototype antenna with the electrical size of $0.38\\lambda_{0}\\times 0.38\\lambda_{0} \\times 0.14\\lambda_{0}$ has an impedance bandwidth of 14.1% from 3.25 to 3.85 $\\text{GHz}$ with $\\vert S_{11}\\vert < -15\\ \\text{dB}$ covering the N78 band for fifth-generation (5G) New Radio (NR).
