Abstract

This monograph includes five chapters that detail recent advancements in chemistry research. Chapter One describes the presence of micropollutants that disrupt the endocrine system in drinking water and discusses challenges and strategies of removing these pollutants. Chapter Two covers bioactive and volatile compounds in mango and their effects on health. Chapter Three discusses the development of thymidine derivatives for treatment of COVID-19. Chapter Four focuses on the use of gold-phosphine complexes as catalysts for various C-C and C-heteroatom bond formation reactions.
