Image Quality in Safety Critical System

Abstract

Electronic devices installed in today’s cars are able to solve more and more complex tasks aimed at enhancing the comfortability and safety of car users. The testing of these newly appeared devices is becoming more and more of a challenge to testing professionals. In the automobile industry, it is not enough anymore to put customers into the main focus of testing—instead, testing should closely fit the standards and directives concerning development. So, in my article, I am going to examine the standards and processes used in the safety-critical development system within the automobile industry. Regarding these standards, directives, and traditional testing aspects, I am going to determine testing groups and their related test activities. At the end of my article, I am going to illustrate the testing concept with examples.
