Abstract

This paper describes a method to improve the performance of autonomous electrical machine generators by increasing their power indexes. This method involves slot optimization based on the visualization of the magnetic flux pattern to allow the reduction of the slot leakage and to keep the slot's cross-sectional area and flux density constant in the teeth and yoke.
