Modified particle filtering and sum of absolute differences (SAD) based scheme is used for object tracking. The proposed complete system is designed to meet the real-time requirements of video surveillance applications. Abstract
Tracking of objects of interest is of great significance for video based automated surveillance systems. This research presents the design and implementation of Xilinx ML510 (Virtex-5 FXT) FPGA platform based vision system for real-time object tracking in a video sequence. Modified particle filtering and sum of absolute differences (SAD) based scheme is used for object tracking. The proposed complete system is designed to meet the real-time requirements of video surveillance applications.
