Abstract

Aluminum nanostructures on the p-GaN layer or in the p-AlGaN layer of a UV LED are designed and fabricated to induce surface plasmon coupling for enhancing emission efficiency, reducing p-GaN absorption, and minimizing TM-polarized emission.
